Prevent Dry Skin
A common skin condition during cold season is dry skin. Yet, it is a misconception that dry skin is only prevalent during cold season because there are instances when dry skin becomes prominent even during summer. Dry skin is demonstrated by chapping of skin due to dehydration. Thus, what should be done to prevent dry skin is to ensure that the skin is always fully hydrated.
A common cause of dry skin is that the glands found in the skin do not produce enough oil to maintain it to be fully hydrated. Applying lotions or other creams that can temporarily hydrate the skin can be helpful during times when the skin glands are having a hard time producing enough oil.
Another cause of dry skin is nutritional deficiency that affects the behavior of the skin cells. To prevent this, a person should always have sufficient intake of vitamins A and E to make the skin healthier.
Dry skin can also be an effect of frequent use of soap that is made from harmful ingredients. Thus, to solve this, a person should avoid using this kind of soap and opt to use baby soap instead since baby soap also has the cleaning capability similar to regular soap.
