Things to talk about
I think everybody has that post in them that is contrary to popular opinion. This one is will be mine. First you have to understand that I'm a conservative. Frankly the government is getting way to big. I do not talk politics for a very good reason. People tend to get down right moronic if you do not agree with them. I get enough of that at work from my geek freinds. However, I have a few things that have just been bothering me lately and they will cross over in the political area. I'll simply put these in a list for the ease and economy of getting my issues across.
1. Why are we allowing ILLEGAL immigrants to sway our minds out there? Its simple, if you are doing an Illegal act it is expected that you will be caught sometime and punished. Ive heard several arguments recently that we need to let these ILLEGAL immigrants to draw some kind of stipend because they are poor. I am not a bleeding heart liberal and I do not believe they deserve what could go to Medicare or Medicaid to help our own elderly. They deserve to be deported and then go threw the proper steps necessary to become a US citizen. Like many who have do this before them.
2. I do not think we need more gun control. There are plenty of laws already on the books that deal with gun control. I'm having a hard time with "guns kill" argument. The point I have to make clear is that the gun does not choose to kill, It is a tool in the hands of someone who chooses to kill. Now fully understand something, I do not own a gun. I will not have a gun in my house until I can teach and trust my littleone. I do however believe it is a right, if I so choose, to own one for our protection. I even want to have the ability to conceal the weapon. Do you really think the bad guys are going to not conceal theirs? Do you really think the bad guys are not going to use a gun if they have evil intent on their mind?
With personal opinions like these, I'm having a very hard time with the presidential choices. I would love to hear your opinions on these matters. There are a few more social and political issues that I have, but I want to get them more coherently put together.
