Tag your (not my) it
I got tagged by broomeman to list "Five Things" that people probably don't know about me. (Yea I copied and pasted that entire line from your site, Broomeman. It was so elegantly written.) Anyway, here ya' go:!: I grew up in Germany (army brat) and was bilingual until I was about ten. I can still read most German web pages.
@: I have a severe learning disability. It affects the way I see and remember words.
#: I have a full range singing voice... meaning I can go from bass to soprano and stay in pitch. Usually gets lots of laughs out of my wife, especially in church.
$: When I was 19 I had an accident with a 1/2 inch thick piece of plate-glass when my grandmother's flower shop was robbed. I cut the controlling tendon of my left thumb. I only have about 20% use out of my thumb.
%: My wife tells me I'm a "firecracker in bed"... I think she just wanted to call me a cracker.
^: All of the important dates in my life fall on holidays. My wife was born on St. Patrick's Day, my daughter was born three days later - the first day of spring. Our anniversary is on the first day of summer. My birthday I share with Elvis... I got it easy, dudes.
OK that's the best I can do. I even threw in one extra. Tag to anybody that wants to do it!
Mom's doing much better. She will be going to the doc sometime next week for followup on the surgery. I still don't know if there will be chemo in her future; I can't get anybody to tell me one way or the other.

JLee - I totally put him up to saying the "firecracker" thing... 'cause it's true, and nobody else better know that about him!

I like guys who are "firecrackers in bed", but I only wink at the married ones! (grin)
As a teacher of students with disabilities, I am curious: what kind of work do you do now? How does your disability affect your work? When did you find out you had a disability?
Glad to know TenseTeacher's birthday is in March. My oldest son's b-day is March 24.
Glad you're back in circulation.

I know about that "firecracker in bed" thing, too. Geek and I went fishing once. I may be a puppet, but I know that "fist" can also be a verb!

Murp- You still owe me money for that service. You know nothing is for free. right?

Hey! You do realize the comment I left a few posts ago was a link, right???
Murp! says it is YOU who owe him. Something about 'being the pitcher and the catcher". I don't know. I never saw Bareback Mountain.

They were kind of wishy washy about my sister having chemo, though I understand it is better to not have it. I hope the best for your mom.
And I am just impressed you can sing in pitch.
