Ever notice how the initials of Valentine day is VD? I always get a chuckle over that.
Oh, and I had to take my littleone to the dentists this morning. They pulled a tooth that was cracked. I hate dentists.

Here's a good one, people. Some fucktard in Calif. wants to ban certain types of lightbulbs. This idiot evidently has solved all the world's other social injustices, so you think he will run for president?
!: I grew up in Germany (army brat) and was bilingual until I was about ten. I can still read most German web pages.
@: I have a severe learning disability. It affects the way I see and remember words.
#: I have a full range singing voice... meaning I can go from bass to soprano and stay in pitch. Usually gets lots of laughs out of my wife, especially in church.
$: When I was 19 I had an accident with a 1/2 inch thick piece of plate-glass when my grandmother's flower shop was robbed. I cut the controlling tendon of my left thumb. I only have about 20% use out of my thumb.
%: My wife tells me I'm a "firecracker in bed"... I think she just wanted to call me a cracker.
^: All of the important dates in my life fall on holidays. My wife was born on St. Patrick's Day, my daughter was born three days later - the first day of spring. Our anniversary is on the first day of summer. My birthday I share with Elvis... I got it easy, dudes.

Mom's doing much better. She will be going to the doc sometime next week for followup on the surgery. I still don't know if there will be chemo in her future; I can't get anybody to tell me one way or the other.
Sorry it’s been a while. The week’s been kinda nuts. Mom had her thyroid removed. They found a mass in a node, but I don’t know what that means yet since no one’s talking about it. Work’s been steady, meaning it still sucks, but we all know that.
The week was difficult. Four day workweeks always are, for some reason.
The host I’m with had some issues with their servers, and I lost a couple of posts. If I had backed up, they would be here now, I was stupid. I won’t rewrite all of what I posted, but basically they were about the Snap script I installed on Tense Teacher’s site and the book Eragon. While I know it’s annoying to have this box pop up over the words you are trying to read, I like being able to preview the link prior to clicking on the link. It’s especially useful if I’m at work and (gasp) checking out blogs. I want to use it on my site for a week or so before deciding if it’s going to stay. If you have an opinion (about Snap, that is), let me know.
I have been reluctant to do any work on this site for a couple of reasons. Mostly it;s working just fine, and I don’t typically fix what’s working. The other reason is a total lack of interest in doing anything here other than reading and commenting (sometimes) on all of my favorite blogs. I’ve been going to my Blogspot account to read through my bloglines however, and I’m a little tired of jumping through here and there to get anywhere. I had a conversation with Miss Ann over at OMFGWTF in which she explained how EE works. So I feel a little more confident with working in the templates. I hope to get my blogline in the sidebar in the next week.
I know it’s Sunday already, but have a good remainder of the weekend!
OK the host I’m with has/had some technical issues. I lost a couple of posts because I haven’t backed up in the last few days. Totally my fault. I’ll post more later when things settle down.
